Conflict resolution is one of the most important qualities that our world does posses. The ability to find solutions to arguments can lead to a healthier relationship with someone. If the world, for example, was totally oblivious to conflict resolution, then everyone would be constantly arguing and nothing would get done. The world would be chaotic. We would all still be cavemen, grunting over a piece of meat that we all wanted but we couldn't resolve who would get it except by brute force. Everyone would fight for power and no order could be found. Another word for this is War. Conflict resolution also helps people come to compromises, which is when each person gets part of what they want in exchange for giving up something for another person. Compromises are a key part in conflict resolution.
Conflict resolution is a global law. The only part of conflict resolution that can sometime be mistaken is the fact that it must be peaceful. You could reasonably argue that solving a conflict can come from killing someone. You end up winning the conflict. So that's the end of the conflict right? Wrong. If you shoot someone then the conflict only grows bigger. Now you have to resolve what is going to happen based on the way you just solved your previous problem. There are many forms of breaking this law but the only real way to go about Conflict Resolution is in a peaceful manner.
The police are the keepers of conflict resolution except there are usually no compromises. The police are responsible for keeping people from fighting by using conflict resolution. This is so people do not get hurt from someone's ability not to resolve conflict. They basically help people who can't resolve conflicts by stepping in for them whether or not the person likes it or not. The police are necessary because without them, there would be no one to enforce conflict resolution. Who would you trust to keep conflicts on the down low? No one would listen to any one person because that person doesn't have the ability to stop the person. Why should someone listen to someone who can't do anything about it? After all, that random person doesn't have the authority or power.
It is important to follow the internal laws of conflict resolution. Think about this: what would you do if you had to live on your own, with no friends to help you, in your leopard skin loincloth, and everyone wanted what you wanted and you had to fight constantly to even get food? That is the world we live in now, without Conflict Resolution.
