Why is it that the weather has become a huge event on the nightly news?

Simple rain or the seasonal snow turns into an event of great destruction. Winds and normal heat are made to sound like the end is near. Weather has been here from day one. There is no need to get excited about the daily weather but yet these weatherman and meteorologist on television use their hands and certain "key" phrases and fancy radar equipment to try to keep us in a state of wonder. Words like, devastating, never ending, suffocating, torment, land slides, deep freeze, record breaking and other similar words are purposely used to spread unnecessary fear. And then to top it off the weather is often predicted incorrectly. Go figure!

What good are the national security "colors" doing us?

We are currently in security level green. Does anyone know or care about the security level? Do you live your life differently because we are at level blue? How does the security level affect your daily lives? Simple answer, it doesn't. But yet the news creates a huge story whenever the color is changed. Why? Perhaps to keep you in a constant state of fear.!

Why does Sunday morning television suck?

Why is the television programming so dull in the mornings on Sunday? And throughout the day programming is very very difficult to watch. Are we only to debate politics on Sunday morning? Is religion only supposed to be practiced on Sunday morning?

Why is the "war" on drugs still ongoing?

It is because the federal government knows it will never end? Yet year after year we commit so many resources and money to this never ending war. And yet year after year the drug use remains the same and the problems remain in every city throughout the USA. The medial will show us a successful operation every now and then as if this justifies their ridiculous spending habits. They will pile high the drugs seized and will display the millions of dollars captured. But yet they request more and more money each year. Why display the drugs and money? Does this not encourage younger people to want to try to sell drugs? New drugs are popping up allover the USA. Some how I think this war does not want to be stopped. There is way to much money involved here. From police to prisons to rehabilitation to medication to the fear on the people. What a racket..!!

Why is gasoline so inexpensive?

The price of gas is the only thing that has not gone up in price with the times. If it did it would cost about twenty dollars a gallon. Gas station owners are not the ones making the money here. They barely make any money. They make more on the crap they sell in their stations. Don't blame them because they are their. And do not blame them for the SUV you choose to drive.

Why do most people think that 7-11 employees are our enemy?

Most are Indian and they are a very close friend of the USA. They would love to destroy the Iraqis and the Iranians just as much as we would. Give them a break. They are not rag heads! Get your stereo types correct before judging any one man.

Why is prescription medication is so expensive?

For retired folks paying for their pills it can get very expensive. The never ending paperwork and co-payments and HMO non sense makes one need medication. The prices are obviously inflated because we are made to think that we need them. Countless studies show that when given a "placebo" the patient heals of all illness a great number of the times. Sure there are those who benefit from medication, they are called the companies who manufacture them. Follow the money from one end to the other and you will be surprised as to who's pocket your filling up... What a racket!

Why are teen-aged students made to start school in the early A.M?

Scientists have done plenty of research and have discovered that a teens brain does not wake up until around 1000 am. But yet we send them to school in the early hours. No wonder I didn't start school until about 1000 or 1100 am. With overall test scores continuing to decline why not try what our scientist recommend..Common sense folks!

Why can the world's scientists not agree on global warming?

Hundreds of top scientist from throughout the world can not seem to agree on whether global warming actually exists. Its all about who pays the scientist. Agendas dictate actions. Follow the money once again.

Why is the super bowl the biggest spectacle in the USA?

This game is usually a very one sided game and is not understood by many who watch it. But yet year after year the supermarkets prepare for this day as if it were the end of the world. We are lured into rooting for one team or another in the name of profit. It's the final game of the season. No need to miss work or get plastered. No need to fill your home with unknown strangers and no need to become a gambler. Thats what the weekdays are for.
