Have you noticed personally that Hollywood seams to have run out of ideas for new and exciting movies? If they are not remakes they appear to have a never ending movie train, that most often than not, gets worse as time goes on. Many rumors have been spreading about more sequel movies for certain successful companies, but when is it enough?
A certain character and story line can only be redone so many times. A few such movies that have been remade are as follows (even if they are better or worse than the first movie): The Fugitive, High Noon, I Am Legend, Stagecoach, Yours Mine and Ours, Cheaper by the Dozen, Pink Panther, and 3:10 to Yuma. These are just a few from a long line of remakes. Some were very good being remade, but how often do you have to see the same story before you get bored with it.
How about movies that never stop making sequels? Spiderman 4, which rumor has it might have a new cast is an example. Changing of cast members for key roles is really poor in appearance even if the new cast plays the roles better than the old cast. How about James Bond in the popular 007 franchise? How many actors have played the role?
What are your thoughts on horror/suspense films? One can predict most things in these horror films lately. Very few have done well with remakes in many people's opinions. A good example would be I Know What You Did Last Summer. The first two were really good and exciting, but by the time the third came around the story fell apart ruining the story line that had, at that point, been great.
Do you think they need some new blood in Hollywood? Some fresh writers and directors might do the film industry some good. Some fresh actors and actresses might be a nice touch also.
What is Hollywood going to do in a few more years? It is going to run out of ideas to remake eventually and then where will Hollywood be? Then What is going to happen? Is Hollywood going to keep getting older or is someone going to revive the youthful child within her?
