Nine Unwanted Facts About Pakistan

The country is ruled by dictators, a front-line ally in wars, and is not listed in PayPal.

  1. The country was a frontline ally in promoting extremism and militancy. The ruler was then a dictator called General Zia ul Haq. It is now a frontline ally in the war against the same extremists and militants. The current ruler is dictator General Musharraf.
  2. It is world's 43rd corrupted country, which places it higher than Russia in corruption. (Source: Transparency International)
  3. Most of its rulers were military dictators
  4. It was declared a top failed state in a survey conducted by Fund and Peace. (Pakistan is a "Top Failed State.")
  5. Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Russia has more media freedom than Pakistan. (Annual Worldwide Press Freedom Index.)
  6. Urdu is the country's national language, but there is not any Urdu-speaking nation in Pakistan.
  7. A Pakistani politician/Member of Parliament, Imran Khan, is not allowed to land in Karachi, the country's largest city.
  8. Despite the continuing war on terror, local militants and extremists gain more strength and control every passing day.
  9. It is not listed in PayPal account country list. India is listed.
