The Olympic games have just begun in China. They were invented by Baron Pierre Coubertin, a French noble in Athens, Greece. The country of the Greek mythology is a model in sports. Now, China will have to prove the assimilation of the lessons from Athens. China is the largest territory in Asia. The capital of China is Beijing and it used to be Peking. China is well known because of the organization of the Women Summit in Beijing. From now on the women are supposed to be treated equal to men. The Ming family used to rule in China and built the Forbidden City and the Long Wall. Most of the embassies closed because of the war. China has had a British influence and the Isle of Hong Kong was given back to China in nineteen ninety eight.
There is no doubt that China is more popular because of the Olympic Games. China is also important because there are many population of Chinese descent. The Chinese abroad a mostly found in Canada and in France. There are also Chinese communities in the French Guyana, in the Ile of la Reunion, in Madagascar where the last Queen of France Ranavalona came from.
These Olympic games of Beijing will have important media coverage. There are currently some issues with the Tibet or in other words Mongolia. The populations in the North of China, in Mongolia are close to the border with Russia. The recurrent problems between the North and the South show that there are probably more energy resources in the North. The region of Bakou in Russia is well known for producing energy for thousands and millions of industries. Now, the Tibet winter hats have become a part of our culture. It is an industry that needs to be encouraged, especially for the knitting industry which is not exclusively for women; men can also help to knit.
Although Olympic games are a moment for fulfilling athletic performances and to make world records, there have been problems linked to them. Asia is still a continent closed to the world just like Africa where people go only to earn big salaries that do not allow them to be good consumers.
