The Right to be an Immigrant

Immigrant used to be originally apatrides people who were fleeing wars. Nowadays there are new types of immigrants who come from over populated countries, or who have money or who want to live the American dream for example.

The immigrants come from many countries especially from countries which have wars. This is the case of the Russian immigrants in France, the Chinese immigrants in the States and the Haitian immigrants in Canada.

The immigrants go to countries with who they share a common language for instance French and English. In their countries of origins they already have ties with the hosting country through education, cultural centers and trade. Hong Kong former British territory even had the dollar as currency.

The Russian, the Chinese and Haitian came by successive waves, the first ones because of the Red Revolution, the second ones because of the boxers' war and the third one because of the power of one ruling family on the Isle of Haiti.

So, immigration is not an easy solution for everybody because you have to contribute to your new host country and became a citizen and you are far from your country of origin. This means loosing some pride and prestige to build a new life because most immigrants are looking for a country to integrate in as they already know the language of the host country.

In this case, immigrants should not have been viewed as people who are guilty for leaving their country to build a new life. It is good to continue to speak other languages for example English, French and Spanish to share with others who would like to learn

them.

Finally, immigrants are courageous and should be viewed as examples especially when they want to do well and open the doors to other populations.
