They say that something is happening somewhere to someone every minute of our lives. It could be happening across the street, a mile away, in the next state, or three doors down. Three doors down is written as a metaphor to entail every home in America, as we never know for certain exactly where something is occurring. - You're upset because you broke a fingernail….three doors down, someone has lost the use of their hands.
- You are mad at God for something….three doors down, someone is praying to God for something.
- Your day is going to be terrible….three doors down, someone won't have a chance for another day.
- You hate your parents….three doors down, someone mourns the loss of their parents.
