It happens without warning, this moment of clarity. Instead of viewing the world through my own eyes, I see it through the eyes of my spirit self. Things look clearer, colors are brighter and everything takes on a three-dimensional appearance.

When I had my first experience with this phenomenon many years ago I felt as though there was a problem with my vision. I wear glasses all of the time and truly believed that I needed a stronger bifocal. I would rub my eyes to clear them, not realizing they were at their clearest!
The world through my spirit eyes is breathtaking! It is as though I have never seen the environment in its natural state. The leaves on the trees are a deep black-green, very shiny, almost oily looking. Reds and oranges stand out in stark contrast...crisp and vibrant, outlined in a fine black line.
Part of a prayer I say every day is, “deliver me to a higher degree of awareness” and each day, my prayers are answered.
