Unlike the religious notions about God and Creation, it seems logical that an Ultimate Field might exist in the Universe that permeates throughout the entire Universe and influences everything in the Cosmos just as the influence of our sun permeates throughout and influences the entire solar system. We also realize that our sun is influenced by stronger forces in this galaxy, so the existence of a Universal Force that permeates throughout the entire Cosmos actually is not far-fetched.
Another aspect of God is that whatever God is, we are supposed to be made in God's image. It is sad to say that we know so little about what we are that the idea of being mad in the image of God has very little meaning. We do know that humans, in fact, all living things, whether plant or animal, are made of force fields. If God is a large, Universal Force Field that pervades the entire Cosmos, then as small force fields, we would be made in the image of God, so everything would make sense.
However, few people know that science has determined the field nature of human beings, and so we continue to make God like man as a super human being (called “personification”) instead of making man like God as smaller force fields. In other words, we probably have things backward. If god is a Large, Universal Force Field, then we should and would be like God if each of us is, as science has shown, a small, local, non-universal force field. It makes sense and lots of things would fall into place.
What about those who believe that life and existence are so complicated that there must be some intelligent being behind it? Well, that argument is illogical. In fact, the opposite is true. The more complicated things are, the less likely that a being of any kind is behind it or has anything to do with it at all. Furthermore, we know that the Cosmos has an Intelligence of Its Own. We need to understand and accept that the Cosmos has Its own type of Intelligence and that each Force in the Universe is likewise.
Perhaps these ideas haven't done anything for you. You think about your Catholic, Protestant, Christian, Jewish or Muslim dogma, but not about other things, but religion is an invention and creation of man. If you believe the teachings of your religion, then you are certainly wrong because each of these religions say something different. All of them can be wrong, but they cannot all be correct, and so each of these religions are wrong except one, (but which one) or they are all wrong because they can all be wrong.
On the other hand, perhaps these ideas have made you think. If that has happened, then I will have achieved a goal and accomplished something. Perhaps nothing I've said has been correct, but at least I have stimulated some thought. That in itself is an accomplishment.
Has this article resolved the issue as to the nature of God? Certainly not! Those who have bought into the idea and belief of God as a super human being will continue to do so and those who believe God does not exist will continue to believe likewise, but some of those who are not sure one way or the other will take heed, and perhaps one or two of them will say, “That makes sense. Let me look into this idea further.” As I have said, this was just food for thought.
