As human beings, we tend to put a great deal of thought and time, trying to understand the subjects of God, death, and what lays beyond life for us. Most of us go through this life wondering what our purpose is, and why are we even here? Very few people consider our births, and where we came from as an answer to this question. Often death is associated with the phrases, "called Home to God" and " returning Home". But, we can not call it "going home to God", unless we previously lived there in the first place, and obviously we can not "return" to a place we have never been before. Therefore, it only seems logical that if we "return Home to God" in death, we must also have to "leave the Home of God" in life.
After over 40 years of research, I have discovered that we do not randomly arrive on earth ~ born as a blank slate with a hidden purpose ~ with no say or choice about the family or circumstances we are born into. After all, God is our all loving Father, and He would never do that to us. That would be no different then a loving parent suddenly sending their unprepared and under educated kindergarten aged child to college and fully expecting them to do well enough to graduate. It is an absurd thought and no loving parent would even consider doing that to their child anymore then our loving God would do that to us ~ His spiritual children.
The theory I am about to put forward came to me as a result of my personal spiritual quest, and it is the only one that sang to my soul with the ring of truth once I discovered it, and to this day I continue to discover more and more...Anyway, this information would be best understood if I correspond it to a situation that is common in our society today.
Imagine yourself as a student who has graduated high school and are planning to leave home to attend a higher school of learning ~ a college or university ~ to continue your education. You have specific goals in life you wish to achieve and you have been planning this trip for years by making sure your grades were good and you were capable of meeting all the prerequisites of the institution you wish to attend. You plan to do all this so that once your education was over, you would be able to return home, accomplished, successful and wiser. You will be able to use your education to make a better life for yourself and those around you.
As you prepare for this trip, you will most likely seek advice and guidance from those you love and trust. Family, friends, teachers, counselors, who ever you can talk too. On the road to academia you spend time carefully finding the right school for you. One that can meet all of your need when it comes to things like; standard and level of education ~ length of time and number of classes ~ cost factor and income for each year needed ~ location and living arrangements et-cetera. Yet, all the time you are planning and despite the fact that you know it may be hard, in the back of your mind you think, "this should be fun, I can handle this, no sweat!"
For some students, once they arrive they soon find out that it may not be as easy as they thought. The courses are tougher then expected, the studying is harder than anticipated, and life is much different then it was a home. A lot of freedom and temptation has suddenly come their way and each person will react and respond differently. Some will buckle down and apply themselves as best they can ~ some will breeze through it with seemingly little effort at all ~ and some will be overwhelmed, or just make bad decisions and end up wasting a perfectly good education. In the end, those who graduate have achieved their goals and do not need to go to school again unless they want to receive a different education, then by all means, reapply. Those who do not graduate do not necessarily fail, but they certainly didn't pass to achieve their goals. They may want to try again, and all the power to them if they do, but most end up taking a longer and harder path to their success.
Before I go any further, I want you to understand that I am talking about birth here, and our choice to come into life on earth. If you know that we are spiritual beings with our own personalities from the moment of our creation, then you know that our spirits are created from the essence of God and not from the procreation of man and woman. Our spirits are not formed in the womb during pregnancy, but enter the womb once the time is right. The womb allows the spirit "quiet time" to prepare your mind and adjust yourself to being in a human body. A body that is much heavier and harder to maintain then our spiritual bodies.
