The other day, I was walking at the park and I overheard couple of guys talking about security in America.
One of them said: “Why, in the heck would people feel insecure in America? We are the strongest, most powerful, most advanced and most armed country on the planet!”
The superficial inadequacy in this statement belongs to the realm of fear and non-understanding of our universe. There is a need to look for balance, there is a necessity to search for equilibrium, and there is a need to discover the Truth that lies beyond the appearances. There is a reason behind this “what in the heck?” question. How do I know that? Simply because according to my belief system, nothing has been created out of the non-sense. Everything is meaningful if only one can read in between the lines and beyond the obvious.
Indeed, there is an apparent inadequacy between our reality and the feeling we actually experience in term of security. How can we explain this non-sense? Our level of security has never been so high and still people feel more and more insecure! Well, the following explanation may not suit all of you but it is nonetheless a logical metaphysical one! So, buckle up, my friend, you are in for the ride of your week! I bring you the metaphysical reason why you feel insecure in the Land of Freedom...
In psychology, overdoing is the result of a feeling of lack. Notice, it is not the lack itself, but really the feeling of it. Thus, feeling fat drives to anorexia, feeling victimized creates complainers, feeling useless creates depressions and so on… Therefore feeling fearful creates the need for protection and actually overprotection. It appears, to me, that the real matter comes from an inner-feeling of insecurity on a collective consciousness level. (I should actually write collective Unconsciousness level).
Well, now that we have identified that the reason behind manifesting more security was the feeling of being insecure; let's identify the reason behind this feeling...
Let's take a look at our religious institutions over the last 2000 years: We, as individuals, are sinner from birth (not a very secure feeling to start with!). The notions of guilt and shame are automatically linked to who we are because of this concept. Therefore where there are guilt and shame, there is punishment. Who is giving this punishment? A “God” who blames, judges, sentences and chooses who is worthy and who isn't! We are at the mercy of this so-called protective Lord! No wonder either why we feel insecure deep within!
This “nation under God” has part of its belief system based upon the deepest feeling of insecurity and unworthiness.
This collective consciousness has created an unconscious addiction to this feeling. Why? Because even though it does not feel good to feel insecure... it is all we believe we know. We have forgotten the very foundation of who we are and slowly drain ourselves out of our original power. It is time to claim it back for it is the very foundation of our deepest survival...
