Spiritual Existence

How to understand and re-awaken your spiritual self.

Discovering that you are a spiritual being, that death is non-existent, that your life is quite literally what you make of it, and that we are all here for a reason can be quite a pleasant experience, but also a daunting one. Here you will find the truths of spiritual existence and how you can better your understanding of the real world.

THE SPIRITUAL ENERGY

Most people shy away from the subject of spirituality, believing it to involve all sorts of demonic influences and such other things. Throughout the years many people who have made their spiritual beliefs known to others have lived to regret it, or died regretting it. So it is no wonder that this subject is only just coming to light, however, in this day and age of electronics, busy workloads and demanding social lives, not many people have the time to identify with the truth, let alone even consider the matter. The fact is we are all spiritual beings, each a spirit in a physical body, living out our lives on this planet until the physical body wears out. Then we progress to another phase of our existence.

We are all made up of energy, and energy cannot be destroyed. It simply changes into something else. For example, think about what happens when water is boiled.

The particles in the liquid spread out as they are heated. This then evaporates into steam. When the natural state of the liquid is threatened, it changes and something else is produced from it. When considering this truth, it becomes appropriate for us to ask if this is what happens when the physical body dies. When asking such a question we should look towards considering whether the spirit of a person can exist without a physical component.

ASTRAL PROJECTION (O.B.E. - Out-of-Body Experience)

Astral projection is the term given when you project yourself consciously, as a being. When doing this you create a double of your physical self, and then project it into an image on the ethereal plain. This is not to be confused with astral travelling, which is the process that occurs in the dreaming state. Cases have been recorded that tell of people who, at the point of death, have "stepped" outside of themselves and looked upon their body. This occurrence has also been known to happen at times of emotional stress. We, as animals, have built-in life-sustaining instincts that create powerful defense mechanisms that the subconscious mind responds to, and so prevents any experience that endangers our mind set.

How to astral project

The best time to practice astral projection is at night, when you are unlikely to be disturbed. Sit down on a straight backed chair, or cross legged on the floor, and take three deep breaths. Centre yourself with each breath.

Visualize yourself standing straight in front of where you are sat. Observe all the details of your body, the height, the stance, the hair, see yourself with new eyes.

Next, project your conscious mind into this body, and know that your physical form is actually sat behind you, observing you. From your new position look around yourself. Walk around the room, observe everything: open cupboards, look at pictures, inside boxes, and tell yourself what you are seeing. When you have finished, position yourself in front of your physical body, and mentally project yourself back into it, knowing that you are back in your body. Then watch the ethereal projection of yourself disappear.

Repeat this exercise nightly until you are familiar with your surroundings. When you feel comfortable with this, project yourself in same way, but then walk outside of the room and around the house. If there is anyone else in the house, see if you can pick up on what they are thinking, feeling, etc. However, try not to make them aware of your presence. Continue this until you become familiar with the process.

You can then step outside the house, walk down the street, remembering to observe everything. Now you will be able to expand yourself. Stretch out your arms and jump, you will notice that you have become weightless and are able to fly. Also try thinking yourself to a specific place. Imagine anywhere in the world you want to go, then simply see yourself there.

You must remember to follow the correct procedure when finishing your astral journey. If disturbance or lack of concentration occurs it is likely that you will experience dizziness, tiredness, and/or headaches for a while, even for days afterwards.

However, do not let this put you off, it can be a very useful tool once mastered. Imagine being woken up at 3am by a dog barking for no obvious reason, and you are able to astrally project yourself to that dog, and quieten the poor thing down, without having to move an inch! Quite impressive eh?
