Emo: True or False?

1. All Emos cut themselves: False. Not all Emo people are forced to cut themselves just because people think this person is Emo. The Emos who do cut themselves are usually doing it because it is one way they express their emotions.
2. Emo means emotional: True. That's where the term Emo comes from, simple as that.
3. All Emos like/wear black: False. Though most Emos do wear and like black doesn't mean that all of them do. Here is an example we are all humans but we don't all like the same colors do we?
4. All Emos are sad all the time: False. They're not sad all the time they can feel like other emotions too which usually anger but they can be happy.
5. All Male Emos are homosexual: False. There are those who are but that doesn't mean all of them are.
6. All emos have long hair: False. Most of them do but not all of them and just because someone has long hair doesn't mean they're Emo. The ones with long hair you will probably see them with dyed hair or highlights in their hair
7. All Emo people have piercings: False. Some do some don't.
8. All Emos write suicide notes: False. Not all of them do.
9. All Emos wear make-up: False. Just because people think another person is Emo doesn't mean that he/she wears make-up. But the ones who do usually wear eyeliner and or eye shadow.
10. People who Emo are just like you and me except that they're misunderstood by the public: True. Emo people are just like you and me so just because a person is Emo doesn't mean that they're labeled as “ A Teen with long hair who cuts himselve”! It simply means that they're Emotional so they don't have to have piercings or wear black to be what most people think is Emo.

Notes

1. I use the word Emo so that the public knows what kind of people I am talking about not to offend anyone by thinking I was labeling them
2. Most of the time you will see Emo people with long hair, wearing black, with piercings that is what most people call Emo but they're some who look like normal people
3. I hope this article has shed some light into what being Emo truly means. (Which by the way means being emotional).
