So You Want to be a Rockstar

How easy life seems if you have celebrity status.

“….the girls come easy and the drugs come cheap, yeah, yeah, I wanna be a rockstar…” Nickleback

As we are all aware, unless someone is born into wealth, or achieves it somewhere along the road of life, or just plain knows how to cope with life, it can be quite a challenge just to get by these days.

It seems like every third person one meets or knows is looking for an easier way to live/survive in this day of inflation, fluctuating gas prices, (some days it's lower/higher than others) and added into the mix is the higher cost of living. And when some persons have a quiet moment, they probably sigh and like the Nickleback song says, they also utter to themselves, “I wanna be a rockstar.”

For like the lyrics in the hit single suggest, everything seems so easy when you are a celebrity or have celebrity status. If someone is what some persons might refer to as being a nobody, does not have much in the way of wealth and or education (although some people do get by with their skills, talent or job experience) then he/she might have a much more challenging time at achieving the simplest of goals.

Or it just seems as if the shops of the world are open and welcoming to those who have “rockstar” status in life. People know who you are, some of whom even feel as if they really know you, and they want to please you. Hence the easy access pass implication.

And maybe the persons who have achieved “rockstar” status in life are those who have something important to share, distribute or impart to the rest of the world to make life easier.

But if you just want “rockstar” status because you think it will be an easier way to achieve what might not be so easy if you were to minus the “rockstar” image, then maybe, the ones who are the true “rockstars” are the ones who deserve to hold such a title.

For nothing that's really worth it in life is going to come that easy anyway. And if it does, one might think it is something that is too good to be true. You have to work at it everyday or as much as you can. And yes, sometimes you even have to work at achieving that “rockstar” image you think is going to get you the “…bathroom that's big enough to hold a baseball field, or the fifteen cars…”

All in a world where “…the girls come easy and the drugs come cheap…” “yeah, yeah” everyone wants “to be a rockstar…”
