Chaos Rings

A tale on how it all began. Story about a blacksmith and his six magical rings.

This is a story about magic chaos rings. It happened a long time ago, during the first war with monsters at Priston planet. There lived a blacksmith, whose powers were mighty, nobody could match his abilities. His swords could slice rocs in half as easy as butter. His armor could stand extreme power, without even a scratch. One day seeing as war with monsters is getting nowhere; he decided to craft something special, to help warriors win the war. He worked day and night for one full week. After the job was finished, he invited six strong warriors and gave them special rings. Warriors were confused at first, as they didn’t understand how little rings could help them win a war.

- These are special chaos rings,- said the blacksmith.
- When you wear them they will double your powers.
- But be very careful with them, don’t let them fall into the wrong hands.

The warriors put the chaos rings on their fingers and their powers increased. From that day nobody could match their strength. But there was one strong monster who wanted to have more strength than anybody. He was the monster king. He began attacking innocent travelers and merchants to lure six warriors to his den. After the warriors heard about him, they decided to make a stop to it. But they didn’t realize that they were heading into a trap. They ran fast into the cave trying to surprise the monster king, but the cave was empty. Suddenly the cave’s exit was blocked by a huge figure…it was the monster king. A week later after not hearing any news from these warriors the blacksmith understood that the warriors are dead and someone else has the chaos rings. So the monster king became the most powerful being in the whole world, and maybe in the whole universe. He forced a couple of towns to surrender by completely destroying them. It looked like the monsters finally gained the upper hand in the monster human war. Seeing what his chaos rings brought to the continent the blacksmith decided to do something. He invited the seventh and the youngest warrior. The blacksmith looked at the young warrior and said:

- You are the last warrior who can stop this chaos
- But how, - asked confused young warrior, - I’m not as experienced as my brother, and I don’t even have a chaos ring.

The blacksmith put his hand into his pocket and pulled out another ring. It was the most beautiful of them all. Its light shined as a sun and he was lite as a wind, though a strong as a rock.

- It’s the seventh chaos ring, - said the blacksmith, - It has stronger power than those six rings combined.
- It is yours now, - Said the blacksmith with a small smile, - But remember all world is counting on you, if you fail and the monster king takes this ring he will be immortal then and nobody will be able to stop him.

The young warrior took the ring and went to find that monster king. When the monster king saw young fighter he said to him:

- Well, well, well…aren’t you the seventh brother? Never mind I’ll kill you as I killed your brothers, - said the monster with a little ironic smile.

The battle was tense. They were fighting for an hour now and they both were injured. Their powers were equal.

- I thought you were stronger, - said the young fighter.
- Your brothers said the same, - replied the monster king, - And now look at them.

Then monster king pointed to a tree. The young warrior looked at a tree and couldn’t believe his eyes. On the tree hung six bodies. Then the young fighter became very mad. And monster king understood that he made a fatal mistake. The ring on the fighter’s finger started to glow. The light was so bright that monster king couldn’t see anything. He only saw a dark shadow moving towards him. Then the light suddenly disappeared and the monster king felt a sword’s blade next to his neck.

- You have lost, - said the young fighter calmly.

And the monster king felt on the ground dead. Young fighter understood what power lies in the chaos rings. So he hid all of them so nobody could find them.

Present day

A young knight and fighter were running towards a waterfall in Valley of Tranquility. The evil rabbits and some goblins tried to chase them but they got away. As they were approaching the waterfall knight tripped over a rock. Fighter started laughing, but soon felt a goblin’s hand on his shoulder. The fighter was trying to scream for help, but there were none who could help him. Knight got up picked his dagger and tried to attack the goblin. But he was soon thrown on the ground. He wanted to get up and try again but he realized that his leg was broken. He watched with horror how goblin hit fighter with his dagger and how fighter felt on the ground motionless. Goblin turned to a knight with a small smile. Knight couldn’t believe that his best friend ever was just killed. But he soon saw something shiny near his left leg. It looked like a ring but was very shiny and lite. Knight put the ring onto his finger and the ring started to glow. The light was very bright and goblin couldn’t see anything except a dark shadow moving towards him fast…
