Abortion Rights? Whose Rights?

Massive infanticide is not the way to rule the world. It is, however, the way to ruin it.

Thousands of human beings are being killed in the United States each and every day. Some may ask, “how’s that? Where’s the war? I don’t remember hearing about any mass slaughter of people in the U.S.” Of course you haven’t. This particular slaughter is going on right under our noses 365 days a year, and we barely give it any consideration whatsoever.

This battle has been waging since 1973 and has not ceased to slaughter human beings in all the years since. The United States has seen more deaths on its own soil than in all the wars overseas, that’s how huge the death toll really is. The victims of this merciless slaughter? The unborn. For every six children who are born each day, thousands more are murdered in cold blood. The death of an unborn infant occurs every second of each day, all around the world.

Criminals on death row who are condemned to die, get a last meal, a final meeting with a religious leader, a blindfold, and depending on the style of execution, a humane effort to ease the pain of dying. What do the unborn on death row get? A very sharp knife, a vacuum hose, and a slow, excruciating death by suction. Some get other tortures. There are saline abortions where the infant is forced to swim in, inhale, and drink concentrated salt solutions that burn the skin right off their bodies.

Nothing is ever done to ease their pain. No blindfolds are applied. No Priest, Rabbi, or Minister is called in to give last rites or say a final prayer for the condemned. They simply die from torture of the worst possible kind. They writhe in agony, open their mouths in a scream that will never be heard, except by Jesus Himself as He welcomes them back home.

Who is really being affected by abortion rights? Certainly not the Mother who goes right back out and gets pregnant again. Is it the man who gets her in that condition? Perhaps it is the abortionist whose rights are overturned by abortion. No? How about the babies? What about the rights of the children who never got to see the light of day on this earth?

The child who is taken to term and allowed to be born, has rights. He or she has the right to live and be cared for until he or she is old enough to care for himself or herself. But that same infant, taken before birth, has no right to life whatsoever. What’s the difference? The baby’s first home is another person’s body, that’s the difference.

We need to stop the slaughter, and give rights to the unborn. We need to recognize them for what they are: Tiny Human Beings. We need to understand that they are separate individuals apart from the Mother, and as such, deserve individual human rights. Pregnancy is respectable, and it’s not a disease.
