Women throughout the Bible are depicted as strong and compassionate. She does so much that many women today would complain about. Women in the Bible held the household together by doing things like plan the servant girls’ day, gathers food, buys the field and so much more. She wakes before the sun even rises, how many of us can say we do that willingly. Women in the Bible trusted God for strength to get through the hardships that arise in life. They were dedicated to their faith and made sure their lives showed that.
The virtuous wife speaks, her words are the law of kindness. She doesn’t sit around and do nothing, she’s constantly working for her family and God. All the duties she does isn’t what makes her the ideal woman. It is her strength and dignity which all comes from God. She doesn’t deny Him, but praises Him her whole life. Her beauty and attractiveness comes from her strong, compassionate character and her faith in God.
Women today focus on themselves on giving glory to God. She worries more about a tiny pimple as opposed to the poor and needy around her. We women today need to take a closer look into our lives and the lives of the women in the Bible and ask ourselves:
* Do I give glory to God, or to myself?
* How did the women of the bible deal with day to day fears? Did they sulk and complain or did they pray to God for guidance?
