Role Model: Tomb Raider's Lara Croft

She may have one hell of a punch in video games, and even more of a punch as a role model.

Before I had heard anything of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, I had no idea at all that she was from the notorious game Tomb Raider or comic book. Croft also interested me because when she found something she wanted she went after it and she took all the risks, which is what makes her a role model. Croft also prepared herself for the adventures and treks by staying in shape. It was beautiful as well as fun to see her bungee jumping in her living room. It definitely looked like something fun to try.

Parties are not her thing, but then neither is wearing dresses. Which is funny considering she is of noble birth? She wears a shirt, shorts and calf-high boots. She would rather be wearing pants and fighting major battles. She is a girl who likes to live on the edge. Croft also carries around semi-automatic pistols.

She does what she has to do to reach her goal. You can also tell she is well versed and well researched in the areas she goes to investigate. She wants to fit in as many heroes do. Croft is very intelligent and you can tell that she spends many hours discovering all she can on the topics she is interested in. If she does not out gun her opponent, she is in shape to beat her opponent in other ways, even out-thinking them.

Her choices prove the kind of hero she is, that is why she is such a good role model. She is definitely one hell of an adversary.
