The Value of Abstinence: Love and Accountability

Pre-marital sex has more consequences than you might realize.

This commentary I am writing is in regards to a problem I see running rampant these days.

Teen pregnancy and children out of wedlock,I believe that if people would stop fornicating the world wouldn't be in the chaos it's in. The reason there are so many abortions these days

(which is nothing less than murder) is the fact that people want their momentary pleasure, without the accountability and responsibility that comes with it.

If you think you're ready to have sex, you better be ready and able to care for the children that may come as a result. People treat sex so casually these days, sex is the most intimate thing between two people as I said in a previous article. It should not be taken lightly.

Future generations should not have to suffer the consequences of a previous generation's choices.

Don't kill your children just because their very presence and existence remind you that you are accountable.

Children are a blessing and should be treated as nothing less, aborting a child is cowardice, cold, and selfish. If people would keep sex inside the confines of marriage where it belongs, they'd be alot better off.

Children would have a solid family to grow up in, the number of diseases running rampant would decrease, there would be far less heartbreak, confusion and sadness in the world.

Children with both parents in the home thrive far better than those in single parent households.

I am sure that the beginning of this article sounded harsh to some, but sometimes it takes flat-out, straightforward honesty to get people thinking, so I do not apologize.

Parents, teach your children the value of abstinence and the importance of Love, stability and responsibility.

To All who read this, God Bless.

Jupiter, Most of what you say is true but emotions play such a big part in life.Sometimes there is no black and white, just a shade of gray. Life is hard and we have a long way to go. We all suffer our parents choice\'s and our children will suffer our choice\'s. That\'s life, and we can only do the best we know how, but that said we should live the best life we can and teach our children to do the same.

I must agree with Ruby, the older you get - the more shades of grey you find. It is a human problem, where we live and learn and make mistakes and grow from them. Forgiveness is a hard lesson that we also learn from. As long as you do your best, it is all you can do.
