In my opinion, these are the top websites/magazines for women on the internet today. They are entertaining, insightful, humorous and sometimes a wee bit bitter. All of which make for very interesting reads!
Bitch Magazine is an independent, non-profit publication that focuses on women’s issues and started in 1996. It is released quarterly and tends to have a harder, tougher outlook of media issues pointed at women
Jezebel is great website focusing on women’s issues, particularly in the media. They handle current news events and regular series, my favorite being “Pot Psychology” and “Crap email from a dude”
Their crafts, opinions and also participating in challenges and swaps. While definitely not a site just for women, it seems to be more popular among hip craftster women.
Creator Tracy Egan (aka SlutMachine) writes about women’s sexuality, stereotypes, male genitalia and anything else her feisty heart desires. She is also an editor at Jezebel.
Confessions of a College Callgirl is a blog written by a (former?) prostitute who illustrates her past experiences, good and bad. Well-written and thought provoking, she is currently working on her book.
Written by Shreve Stockton, this blog presents a daily image on a coyote that she nursed to health and later adopted. She is currently working on a book of the same topic.
