Daycares or Slavecares

Who are the people working in daycares? Are they qualified? The only test my daughter had to pass was a T.B test.If they get paid minimum do they put out minimum?

Let me say from jump that I live in South Carolina.Telling you this is only for you to be able to get the whole picture. Now with that said, 18 year old girls that just graduated think they are so cute. They really don't have a clue.Don't give them to much time to decide were they want to get a job, they just might take longer then expected.I have an 18 year old myself and she has alot of clueless friends including herself when it comes to responsability.I try to fill her in on life the best I know how but like many other mothers I tend to enable.I want to learn how to disable. Its real easy to point out the problem, but fixing it is a little harder. My daughter is my friend more so when shes hungry. She will act like she wants to spend time with me and she is always doing it at super time.

I get stuck with maybe one meal a day but her boyfriend he gets stuck two meals a day.His sick and tired is probably higher up there then mine.Well lets see she graduated in May of 2007 it is now April of 2008 and she has had a job all of two weeks now.She has never had to pay a bill and if she did I wouldn't be so sure she would know how to.Don't get me wrong we did make here take some classes a a technical college but after one semester she decided that what she was taking did not interest her.

The job that she has now is working at a daycare. She seems to like it and maybe she will want to go into teaching or some kind of caregiving career,or just be lazy and get stuck right where she is at.My daughter has one thing going for her that most of her friends don't,she is the only one who does not have a kid.Maybe I did do something right.

When does minimum wage go up? Her job pays her $5.50 an hour, is that right? I want to know if anyone out there knows the answer to this next question. If you work at a daycare and you have a kid that kid gets to attend for free. This would be a savings of around $90.00 a week. Most women that work in a daycare work there just for that simple reason. Now, if you don't have a kid attending shouldn't you get a $90.00 a week pay hike? They don't take it into consideration.I told her she should find a kid to babysit and pass the kid off as her's and the daycare would be free, then it would be fair. This daycare is only to give her experience. If you are reading this and you live up north you are probably wandering what kind of "poo dump" place only pays $5.50 an hour. And your also wandering how can people survive on that amount. In case you forgot my opening sentence said it all, I am from South Carolina.

People rather pay some kid minimum wage and free daycare then to pay a decent rate to a person that wants to work at a daycare.Again the only reason most work in a daycare is because they cant afford to work somewhere else and pay a daycare. This is having people taking care of your kid not because they just love kids, it's more or less a have to do to survive because they cant afford daycare themselves. Now we can all rest easy knowing why daycare workers really work there.Work or not work, daycare or no daycare. My personal choice was to not work simply because I don't trust people with my precious children.I waited until they started school.Maybe there should be more laws or regulations out there that make you have to be qualified to be taking care of or raising someones kid. But that might start the ball rolling on being qualified to even have a kid.I vote for that one.
