One has to think smartly and act in the same dimension.In the dynamic world of today every one wants to excel their self and reach the highest peak of success by choosing their desired field. They wish to enter a field where they are free to explore their capabilities without any social hindrance; illuminate their future with their bright innovative ideas and overcome obsolete thinking.
When a child completes his 12th grade and is able to go to his preferred field, the social dogmas become the biggest barriers of his future. He seems to be overshadowed by his older siblings who have achieved a common degree like an MBA or an engineering and are working in a bank or a multinational organization, and parents who are stuck in the primitive thinking when it comes to studies and are not ready to see the revolutionized world. They don't see the work field through the eyes of their child who wishes to indulge in new fields of studies; simply they are trapped in a square box which shows them the picture of old lifestyles in which every one has to do what is common in the society.
Children are constantly bombarded with new technologies and innovative ideas which are forcing them to reveal their hidden talent and to use it to face the new challenges of life. This age of children makes them eager to think about their future, they start thinking out of the box and look for the fields of studies they desire most. But according to their family their dreams are an immature thinking which is not discussed and thrown in the trash bin of the mind and they have to force down their creative ideas and have to go with their family's decision. Following the primordial way of studies in the degree programs in which the same subject is taught many times just to increase the numbers of credits and still most of the students don't get command on it. It's totally in vain and there is nothing in which students will be interested. They have to compel them selves to do it even when they are not interested.
The field of media sciences also has to suffer the conservative mind set of the people. The thoughts here in Pakistan about emerging field of media sciences which is one of the most spectacular and unsaturated lines for the students are very nonconstructive, people don't take it as a good field to work and they start making negative impression on them selves about it. They have unconsciously immunized themselves to hide the reality that this field is worth working and they make it impossible for others to go in it
The word media makes a false imagination that there isn't any proper job market in multinationals companies and a graduate has to work in an advertising company or a T.V channel which is usually taken as a Saith organization where there is only one person who governs the entire organization and have all the authority and a graduate wont have job security, other hindrance for the students to choose this filed is the fake uncertainty of the future growth. The biggest pessimistic obstacle that comes in the mind of people while selecting this field is the working environment, many people think that there is a manacle of vulgarity which will seize them and there is no way out. By conglomerating all the ideas the strong emphasized thought of the people about this sector is that there is always a party time in these fields which are not culturally friendly and which lead to misconceptions.
The fact is media sciences are closely related to the economic prosperity of the nation. If we just consider a branch of this field which is advertising, it has a lot of potential to make its own place. In this rapid growing world every thing in fact every industry either it is a bank or a textile mill, they all need advertising to promote their products. It is mainly concerned with the formation, reinforcement or alteration of public opinion which in turn, would result in changes in social behavior. Instead of making everything difficult there should be a cupola of empathy on every discussion and it should be done with harmony. Considering the old saying "Nothing is impossible even the word says I'm possible" people can change the way of thinking and the misconception of the field of media science can be languished from the minds of every individual. All that is required is to think smartly enough to act upon it.
