Do you need to find a job? Or are you looking for a new way to hire employees without the hassle? The answer in cities like Little Rock, could be with one of the staffing agencies in the area. But, with the number of agencies in the area, how do you find one that gives you the results you want?
Well, the first consideration for you is the type of field that you are working in. This will scale down the number of staffing agencies quite a bit. For instance, if you are looking for clerical work you would possibly go to Advantage Employment which specializes in office workers and clerical help. If you are seeking something in the medical field you would check with Complete Medical Staffing in Sherwood. There is also Arkansas Healthcare Personnel which handles the nursing field. If you are in the manufacturing or production field, there are Kelly Services or Manpower.
The next consideration is the amount of time you would like to fill. If it is only a day or a week, there is Labor Ready which specializes in day to day staffing and fill-in positions. Then there is Turnage staffing, which works with "temp to perm" and "permanent" staffing on the long term side of staffing.
The third item to think about is communication with the agency. Do you want a large national company with a local office, or would you rather prefer a small agency that serves Little Rock alone? Adecco has offices throughout the United States, and covers a wide range of employment services, while Asap Staffing is a local firm with no offices outside of Little Rock. Are you more comfortable handling problems over the phone and via emails, or you would rather walk right into an office and speak face to face?
Another minor consideration; many of the large agencies are set up to handle employees in the 100's or more. The smaller firms may work with local companies and business with smaller numbers. Do you want to work for a large employer or a smaller business? Or, being the business, do you want to look outside of Little Rock for employment solutions, or will someone who lives in the city do the job?
The one other employment option that seems to be overlooked many times, is the local Unemployment Office. While not the most glamorous way to find employment or employees, it is also the cheapest option. For smaller business this may be an easier way to find one or two people to fill a position. Persons looking for employment can use this option to look at multiple opportunities at once; where the staffing agencies usually handle only a few clients.
Depending on your needs, taking time either online, or via the phone book to check with different agencies and their services will help eliminate time and money lost.
