One of my supervisors has just arrived back off her holidays and has already had a dig at me. I was convinced by others that my paranoia was in fact just that and not that she has a problem with me; however, I now realize the verity of the matter. She dislikes me very much, and it would appear she is more than willing to do or say whatever she can think of, to either a) get me to quit my job b) upset me, or... c) motivate me...
I find this last point to be a fairly amusing one. If this is her idea of motivation she needs a slap "round the face to be perfectly honest! I guess she'd be spot on if motivation meant:
►mo-ti-va-tion [moh-tuh-veh-shuh n] -noun
- The act or an instance of motivating. (in her world, 5 cages is simply not enough, no, in her world, minimum would be around 7).
-
The state or condition of being motivated. (in her world, this is the point where a merchandiser has wondered off-section to put something on a promotional stand).
-
Something that motivates; inducement; incentive. (in her world, this takes the form of constant digs, snide comments, arrogant remarks and general lectures about how shit you are and how you need to do better, despite the fact you have done everything you were asked to do and it's not your fault she's as thick as pig shit).
So you see the level of intellect I have to put up with on a daily basis! It doesn't leave any room for argument because she really is too pig-ignorant to take in anyone else's side of a story that conflicts with her own fabricated twaddle.
So here's the list of points to look out for at work:
- Your supervisor will act perfectly normal on shift, but when you find yourself in a situation involving management they will do anything they can do drop you in it.
-
You will have numerous job chats or warnings from said supervisor, for petty reasons.
- Said supervisor will try and befriend you in an attempt to lure you in with a false sense of security, just so they can crush you at the first signs of a productivity slide.
- Said supervisor will have the intellect of a 3 year old, speak like a 3 year old and reason like a 3 year old.
- You find it hard to look them in the eye in fear of being told you're doing something wrong.
- You work at Wilkinson and this is the norm.
In conclusion, work will always have someone working at the top of the food chain that dislikes you. Work will always have someone working at the top of the food chain with the I.Q of a peanut. Work will always try to undermine you in an attempt to turn you into the perfect employee; someone that asks no questions, takes abuse and doesn't stick up for them self. Work will always be this way, unless YOU change it.
