<![CDATA[<p>Ever since I was little I have been going to church, the most difficult thing for me is when someone tells me I am going to hell for having sex before marriage. This is a tough issue because I know the truth about sex and what it does when you have sex before marriage. There is a reason god tells us not to do it. Every person we have sex with we leave a part of our selves with that person. The separation of church and state causes many people to become angry. Where is the separation of church and state?</p>
<p>Schools are not allowed to teach creation but they can teach evolution why is that. I struggle with what I believe sometimes. I believe god let us everything happen for a reason. I am not married but I enjoy sex before marriage. I recently have had someone I work with telling me I am going to hell. I know what I believe. There has to be a better way to get someone to turn to god then jamming it down there throat.</p>
<p>I have to be willing to make a change in myself a heart change as some of my friends call it. Ever since I was little, I have been addicted to sex. I was sexually abused as a child not by my family but by a baby sitter. My parents do not believe me. I have dealt with it and moved on. I just want people to love me for me. I want you to believe me when I say I love god and I know he has a plan for me. But I am not willing to give up this part of my life. Maybe someday I will be able to help other people with what I have gone through. I fully believe it starts with a lack of boundaries when we do not develop strong boundaries we are in serious dangerous of being taken advantage of. When someone wants you to do something, you do not feel comfortable with and you say yes because you are afraid of what they will think that is a problem. No one has a right to tell you how to feel. If someone gets upset because you say, no that is there problem and they are the ones who have the problem. One more example I have is when you were little and you did not want to eat a certain food but you were too young to speak and your parents said you are going to eat it and like it. What if you were allergic to that food? Your parents did not respect your boundaries. Children should not be afraid to say no. but they should also have a reason why they are saying no. <title>A Country or State Without Electricity</title>

<![CDATA[<p>No one expected such a worse situation that will affect each and everyone in the society. You know the trouble in managing a house with out electricity. The job of lighting the house, heating water and using the home appliances are at the mercy of the electricity board. Like wise, the business houses, industrial concerns requiring high tension power supply can not manage to generate their requirements.  Small shops can temporarily switch over to emergency lamps, generator sets or simple uninterrupted power supply systems and manage for a few hours.</p>
<h3>Power to Business Houses Interrupted</h3>
<p>But, business houses engaged in retail sale of textiles and garments or consumer goods and fresh vegetables face greater problems in satisfying customers' needs without regular power.</p>
<p>Similarly, production oriented industries like textile spinning mills, weaving mills and hosiery garment manufacturing companies can not have their own power generation plants.</p>
<h3>Endangering Country's Development</h3>
<p>The service industry is suffering to a great extent. The educational institutions, libraries and hostels find it difficult to cope up with the short supply of power. Short supply of electricity affects the total educational development of the country. Essential services like milk pasteurization, medical services including various diagnoses including X-rays, ECG, and MRI scanning are suffering; finally electric cremations also at the mercy of the power supply.</p>
<h3>Seeking Assistance</h3>
<p>Now, the state government is pleading at other state governments for assistance and central government for total improvement in power production.</p>
<h3>How did this shortage of power happen?</h3>
<p><strong>Social Need:</strong></p>
<p>The state governments supply power at free of cost to meet the social need of the down trodden people in slums and villages to light at least a bulb in their huts.</p>
<p>There is no hesitation to give power connections to new homes, apartments and business houses.</p>
<p><strong>Farmers' Need:</strong></p>
<p>The government understood the difficulty of the small farmers in controlling the cost of cultivation. To make both ends meet, the state government supplies free power for energizing the farm pumps. Further, the small scale industries are helped with more power connections to start new workshops and factories.</p>
<p><strong>New Industrial Needs:</strong></p>
<p>Many multinational companies have now established electrical and electronic industries to meet the global requirements. All the industries are assured of power supply to commence and maintain production of value added products for exports. Power supply can not be denied to such industries coming under special agreements. All these developmental works have enhanced the requirement of power to a gigantic extent.</p>
<p><strong>People's Need:</strong></p>
<p>There are social events, ceremonies, government functions, roads and flyovers require extra lighting arrangements to facilitate assembly and movement of people with ease.</p>
<p><strong>Gold Price Slashes:</strong></p>
<p>There is an indication to show that the prices of gold, petroleum, shares and stocks are falling while the prices of essential commodities are increasing disorderly without reference to the market supply and demand.</p>
<h3>Great Escape Expected</h3>
<p>To tide over the grave situation, the state government is making arrangements with central government to bring sufficient minerals like uranium and thorium to improve atomic power generation. Good quality coal supply is expected to improve the power generation in other thermal power plants. Hydro electric power projects may improve their power situation by managing the storage of water efficiently. It is also expected to augment wind power generation by more number of wind mills.</p>
<h3>Giant Generator Sets</h3>
<p>The temporary solution could be establishment of giant size generator sets at all industries and business houses. There are bigger companies like Cummins to supply sufficient generator sets which run by diesel. The duty of the government is now shifted in supplying required quantity of diesel to the industries at a special low price.</p>
<h3>Commitment to Improve the Country's Power Generation</h3>
<p>On any account, the improvement seems to be insufficient and discouraging.</p>
<p>A country or state with out electric power will lead to disaster as the cost of production escalates at an alarming rate. However, there is no improvement in the standard of living. There is loss of jobs in all sectors. One can expect a complete chaos in all social, political and industrial streams.</p>
<p>A dedicated plan with a commitment to improve the country's power generation becomes quite essential and demanding need. <title>More Swiss Political Oddities</title>

<![CDATA[<p>I pick up the thread where I cut it off in my last article Six Political Oddities of Switzerland Most People Don't Know to explain a major oddity in Swiss politics.</p>
<p>As all major political parties are part of government, no parliamentary opposition exists. But perversely, the voters are in permanent opposition to parliament. And these are the processes by which they may make use of their political rights:</p>
<p>If parliament passes a law, organisations, parties, or individuals opposed to that law have 100 days time to collect 50,000 signatures of voters and to deposit them with the Chancellery Bundeskanzleramt. The law then has to be put to a vote and is meanwhile put on hold. If the voters decide not to accept it, the law is declared void.</p>
<p>Changes to the constitution and treaties to become part of international organisations such as the EU, NATO, or UN must be brought to the vote. They face an additional hurdle: Not only must a majority of voters in the whole country accept it but also the majorities of voters in a majority of states.</p>
<p>By collecting signatures, voters are also able to start a complete revision on the constitution, start the partial change of the constitution, or to give in new laws they think are necessary. It is therefore no surprise that Swiss nationals get to vote on something or other every three months.</p>

<p>Did you ever walk for miles just to get in on a vote? And then do it out in the open by raising your hand? This form of voting is still in use in smaller states in Switzerland. In Appenzell (state number 2 on the map I put up in my first article), women's vote was only institutionalized in 1974 by decree of the Swiss High Court. Not that the male population really doubted the ability of women to vote, but the voting was done with the sabre, and nobody including women could imagine women holding up pans. Traditionally, the voters walk to these gatherings. Depending on where you live, this might take up to three hours, one way.</p>

<p>Do you think that's backward? Maybe it is, but it has its advantages as well. Two years ago, Glarus' government (state number 8) decided to merge towns and villages to cut down local councils and save costs. The goal was to reduce 26 local councils to 13. After presentation by the government, the rostrum was given to voters who wanted to speak. One of the first was a student of 19 who just told them: &amp;lsquo;If you want to do it, do it right. In a few years we will decide to merge even more villages to save costs. This state is constituted by four historical counties. Let's merge all villages within a county into one; one county, one council. I demand a vote.'</p>
<p>By demanding a vote, this proposal had to be put to the vote alongside the government's proposal. As you might guess, Glarus is now on its way to have only four towns. I don' think that backwards at all. And you really see democracy at work at these gatherings called Landsgemeinde.</p>
<p>As states in Switzerland are vastly more independent of federal government than elsewhere, this may lead to very funny situations. Smoking or not, is at this time a state affair until federal parliament has passed a law. Right now it seems parliament will rather not pass any such law, as national and state assembly agree to disagree.</p>

<p>If you come to the town of Basel (state number 5 on the map) be careful where you smoke. The town has three railway stations, a Swiss, French, and a German one. While smoking is generally permitted in Basel, it is prohibited in the French and German stations as they come under the jurisdiction of France and Germany respectively. Even though you are allowed to walk into and through these stations without a passport, you would be fined by police of either country for smoking on their premises.</p>
<p>I once had an accident with my car demolishing the demarcation stone between two states. It had been snowing and I started into a glide coming round a bend slithering into the far side of the stone. I was then fined by one state for going too fast during difficult road conditions and thereby losing control of my car. I was fined by the other state for having no control over my car and causing an accident. I never was invoiced for the stone, though.</p>

<title>Six Political Oddities of Switzerland Most People Don't Know</title>

<![CDATA[<p>Switzerland is an odd little country in Central Europe. It contains more oddities than people, I think, and I want to present a few of these oddities to you. But let's first cover some ground to get the country fixed on the map.</p>

<p>Switzerland is about the size of New Jersey and split into 26 cantons or states that have more independence from federal government than do the individual states of the United States. That there are so many states in this small country has historical origins which I'll cover later. First look at the map.</p>
<p>You see Switzerland surrounded by countries which form part of the European Union. There is one exception to the east of Switzerland: The Principality of Liechtenstein which is sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria.</p>
<p>Oddity treaties: Since 1921, Switzerland and Liechtenstein form together an economic and customs union both using the Swiss Franc as common currency. The borders between the two countries are completely open and never even patrolled. Both countries don't belong to the European Union. But Switzerland is a signatory partner to the treaties of Schengen, which means that the borders of Switzerland and the European Union are completely open, but Liechtenstein doesn't but can't close its borders because they are manned and run by Swiss customs. On the other hand, Liechtenstein is a signatory partner of the European Free Market, while Switzerland isn't. Makes everybody's head hurt, I suppose.</p>
<p>The 26 states of Switzerland conform roughly to the original countries that merged to become Switzerland in 1848. Before that, they had formed a loose confederation of independent countries. As Berne was at that time not only the largest of these countries but also the most powerful, the seat of the federal government was voted on to e in Berne. Were you looking for the word capital city?</p>
<p>Oddity capital: Switzerland is probably the only country in the world that has no capital. The constitution allocates the seat of government to Bern, but there is no mention of a capital.</p>

<p>The Bundeshaus is the parliament of Switzerland, or as it officially styles itself, the Confoederatio Helvetica (hence the CH). There are two chambers of representatives, the national assembly Nationalrat and the assembly of states St&amp;auml;nderat. Together they form the general assembly Gesamtrat.</p>
<p>Oddity head of state: National assembly and state assembly choose a president of the assembly each. The president of the national assembly becomes automatically head of state of Switzerland with the president of the state assembly as his replacement. Both are replaced every year by somebody else, usually one of the vice presidents.</p>
<p>Oddity general: The general assembly is convened when choosing a five star general of the forces. A general is only chosen in times of war, during peacetime there may be no general in Switzerland. To make it really confusing, Switzerland has a general all the same. He is a four star general stationed on the border between the Koreas. As nobody understands the ranks in the Swiss army, this post was created to satisfy foreigners. The general in Korea is chosen by the Defence Minister and deputed into the Foreign Office. The Foreign Office then sends the chap as Attached Military Aid to the embassy in Seoul. Upon his arrival there he is promoted to Ambassador in the rank of a general four star. He is demoted again before returning.</p>

<p>Oddity government: The general assembly is also convened when choosing the government Bundesrat. The government consists of seven ministers voted on in general assembly whereby the assembly has no restrictions. It can vote any Swiss national into the post of minister. It also chooses the chancellor Bundeskanzler who is a sort of general secretary to the government. This explanation is just to explain the oddity of eight people on the picture. Out of these seven ministers, the assembly then chooses a president of the ministers Bundespr&amp;auml;sident. To the rest of the world Switzerland pretends that the Bundespr&amp;auml;sident is head of state because protocol would just go nuts otherwise.</p>
<p>Was this all confusing enough? I'll give you one more.</p>
<p>Oddity opposition: The government ministers are chosen from all major parties represented in the two assemblies. It is called the magic formula Zauberformel. As only small parties remain, there is no opposition in parliament. The official opposition is the people. <title>Bundesrat: The Legislative Chamber of the German Reich</title>

<![CDATA[<p>The Bundesrat epitomized the federal element of the Reich constitution and was especially designed to guard against parliamentarianism. At its inception in 1871, the Bundesrat was the highest constitutional body of the Empire. Modeled on the constitution of the North German Confederation, the Bundesrat was intended by Bismarck as a hybrid between legislature and executive.  In practice, however, its main function was to make, not to implement, laws.  All legislative proposals were first introduced in the Bundesrat. Only if the upper house approved of the proposal would the bill be passed on to the popularly elected Reichstag. Apart from making law, the Bundesrat decided on a possible declaration of war as well as over constitutional quarrels among the member states of the Reich.</p>
<p>In the Bundesrat, the otherwise obvious Prussian hegemony was disguised. Although the kingdom made up nearly two-thirds of the Empire's population and territory, it disposed of only 17 of a total of 58 votes (61 after the reform of 1911).  Next to Prussia, Bavaria had six, Saxony and Wurttemberg four, and Hesse and Bade three votes each. The other votes were distributed among the smaller states, many of them enclaves surrounded by Prussian territory. Accordingly, Prussia wielded an often overwhelming influence in the chamber.</p>
<p>The position of both the Bundesrat and the smaller federal states was further checked by the fact that the chamber did not consist of independent deputies but of envoys who took their orders from the state governments. Because for a long time most of the legislative proposals were drafted in the Prussian state ministries and the committee chairmanships were monopolized by the Prussian envoys to the Bundesrat, Prussia marginalized the smaller German states. Only on important matters did the chancellor hold preliminary talks with some of the envoys, and this was largely confined to the representatives of Bavaria, Saxony, and of the other kingdoms. Because of ever-growing centralizing tendencies in the Reich, however, the Bundesrat as an institution increasingly lost influence to the Kaiser, to the Reichstag, and to national pressure groups. <title>Who Stared Up Racism</title>

Racisms by definition out of the Webster&amp;rsquo;s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, &amp;ldquo;A belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race&amp;rdquo;. This Dictionary was copyrighted in 1990 and was made in the United States of America.</p>
<p>So to go back to the main topic Who Started Up Racism. To many people it started up with Black and Whit people and some believe it was the stealers that came to the Americas with the natives in what we call to day the U S A.</p>
<p>But did it start before that and if so at what tine line did it start? I believe it started at the time line in the BC if you believe in the so called HOLEY BIBBLE at the tower of Babel and if so who started it? Was it just man or GOD THE ALL MIGHTY?</p>
<p>Great wars have been started due to RACISM and RELIGION at what cost and to what gain comes from them! People like Napoleon and Hitler have come out of history as great tyrants in this world and many more to this time in history.</p>
<p>At present day we have many racist groups in and around the U S A that have been known to per mote violent acts that have caused DEATH to any one who is not of there races and even more disturbing to me any one of there own races that does not believe in there beliefs and that is also called Jenna side, but that is a whole other topic to discuss at another time! &amp;nbsp;</p>

<title>The State Flag of Massachusetts</title>

<![CDATA[<p>Since 1776, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the United States is being represented by official flags(though the flags are limited). Until the year 1908, there was no perfect state flag for Massachusetts to represent it's government. Now, the state has three flags which are all official.</p>
<p><strong>These flags are: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>a state flag</li>
<li>a naval and maritime flag</li>
<li>a governor's flag</li>
</ul>
<h3>Facts about the state flag of Massachusetts</h3>
<p>On the 6th of March, 1915, Massachusetts adopted a State flag. This flag is similar to the flag that flies over the Commonwealth now. This flag designed in 1915 represented the Commonwealth coat of arms on one side on a white field(background). On the other side of the flag, a blue shield with a pine tree on it was depicted. This is to symbolize the value placed on wood by the people at Massachusetts.</p>
<p>A new design was approved to replace the old one on the 2nd of June, 1971. This took effect and was officially launched on the 1st of November, 1971. This new design of the flag represents the Massachusetts coat of arms on a white field on both sides of the flag. This is the flag which is used to represent Massachusetts today.</p>
<p>The coat of arms we see on the flag of Massachusetts consists of a blue shield with a picture of a blue shield with an Algonquin Native American on it. This Indian is dressed in a shirt, moccasins, and leggings. We can see him holding a golden bow in one hand and a gold arrow which is pointing downwards in the other hand. We can see a silver five-pointed star in the shield's upper right hand corner. On a gold wreath above the shield, there is a right arm bent at the elbow and holding a gold broadsword.</p>
<p>A blue ribbon partially covers the shield and the motto of the Commonwealth is printed in gold on this ribbon.</p>
<p>The blue shield represents the Blue Hills of Canton and Milton in Massachusetts. The Indian we see on the shield carries the arrow which points downward and this indicates a friendly demeanor. The silver star on the shield represents the state Massachusetts as one of the thirteen original colonies of the United States.</p>
<p>'Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem', the motto of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is printed in gold color on the blue ribbon which covers the shield partially. In English, it means "By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty". <title>The State Flag of Oklahoma</title>

<![CDATA[<p>It was adopted in 1911, which was four years after Oklahoma's statehood. It is a simple design of a white star in blue outline over a red back ground. There was the number 46 inside the star to symbolize that Oklahoma is the 46th state of the United States.</p>
<p>But later red flags are considered closely associated with communism. So, to change the flag's design, a contest was held and designs were accepted by the participants. The main objective of the contest was to design a new flag which closely depicts the diversity in cultures of the state of Oklahoma.</p>
<p>This contest was sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The winning entry for the design of the flag was made by Louise Fluke and this design was adopted as the state flag of Oklahoma on the 2nd of April, 1925. This is the same flag which is being represented now but at that time, the word "Oklahoma" was not there which we see now.</p>
<p>The state name "Oklahoma" was added to the flag in the year 1941 and this step was taken as to tool to fight the wide spreading illiteracy. The colors and the design of the flag were made standard by the Oklahoma Senate Bill 1359 and it was signed into law by the Governor, Brad Henry on 23rd of May, 2006.</p>
<p>The flag majorly displays an Osage warrior's shield which was made from a buffalo hide and was decorated with seven eagle feathers hanging from the lower edge. The shield is majorly centered on a field of blue (derived from the blue flag that Choctaw soldiers carried during the Civil War).</p>
<p>This modified flag honors more than 60 groups of Native Americans and their ancestors. The shield is decorated with six white stars which represent the six high ideals. Symbols of peace and unity from the cultures of the Native Americans and European American settlers in the state were also depicted on this flag in the form of the ceremonial peace pipe and the olive branch.</p>
<p>As said earlier, in the year 1941, the design was remodeled. The name of the state "Oklahoma" was added to the old flag design. It is displayed in white letters at the bottom of the shield at the center of the flag. Though the flag design was revisited, the new design is not very popular in some cultures and some places. <![CDATA[<p>The executive, legislature and judiciary are the three key pillars of a democratic state. But if any pillar plays the role of a nosy parker in the affairs of the other institution, that organization cannot perform its duties disinterestedly. Legislature has to outline laws; executive is responsible to put them into practice and judiciary has to watch whether the laws are formed and implemented in the favor of the public. If any law is framed against the welfare of the community or transgressed, then judiciary has to take its course. Therefore, a vigilant judiciary has to play dual roles in a democratic country. Bench is bound to ladle out justice fair-mindedly to build trust of the public in this most significant organization of the state. There are uncountable examples in which the rank and file suffers in the hands of the elected and selected mallet men. Then there is only one glimmer of hope and gleam of anticipation for the victimized sad sacks feeling the pinch and that is judiciary. Therefore, judiciary must not only be independent but should also be supreme power in a sovereign country.</p>
<p>Current judicial crisis entangled the government and with each passing day the situation resulting from its repercussions became from bad to worse. The headliners found it difficult to escape from this self-created trap. A regime that deliberately creates a crisis like situation to safeguard the vested interests of the hotshots without giving a tinker's dam to the public sentiments, priority to the welfare of the country and concern to the strength of its institutions can barely stake out any claim for egalitarianism and public well being. The bold suo motu notices of the CJP annoyed the authorities. Due to his indomitable will and dauntless courage, he became a thorn in the side of the big cheese. Therefore, he was made "non-functional" on March 9,2007.The ensuing incidents were contrary to the expectations of the men in power due unwavering stand taken by the CJP. The creditable lawyers' community united with him, vehemently protested for his reinstatement and strived shoulder to shoulder with him for independence of the judiciary and supremacy of the constitution.</p>
<p>Raid on Geo TV office and destruction of its telecasting installations due to coverage provided to the well-liked CJP rallies, brutal killings and grave injuries of the innocent civilians in Karachi, bullets fired on a private TV channel"Aaj", forcing the Chief Justice not to address the Sindh High Court Bar Association and to return back to Islamabad along with his lawyers, cruel murder of the Supreme Court Additional Registrar Syed Hammad Amjad Raza, nationwide shutdown of business and successful shutter down strikes, suicide bomb explosion in Marhaba Hotel Peshawar, issuance of harsh Pemra Ordinance to silence the  public voice, gun firing on the residences of nephew of the CJ and Munir A.Malik(President SCBA) ,Lal Masjid carnage and bomb explosion in Islamabad a few hours before the address of the reverend CJP further complicated the already grim situation. These untoward incidents have exposed the hollowness of the slogan&amp;rdquo; Freedom of Expression&amp;rdquo; and taken the wind out of the sails of "Enlightened Moderation&amp;rdquo;. They have also brushed aside the government's efforts and quest, to entice the public and to change the international community's views about the judicial imbroglio in its considerable engineered gathering in Islamabad.</p>
<p>Tall claims made by the leaders in Islamabad in the &amp;ldquo;Istehkam-i- Pakistan Rally&amp;rdquo; will serve no purpose because it is crystal clear to every sane patriotic Pakistani that prices of commodities are sky-rocketing, law and order situation is spinning out of control, corruption is out of control, unemployed youth is moving from cigarette kiosk to tea stall in search of jobs, even the jobs created by the current regime are on contractual basis without any security, grinding poverty is still a major formidable and intractable predicament despite official claims of poverty trim-down in statistics, inflation has broken the back of the teeming millions, unchecked population bomb is haunting Pakistan because of its limited resources ,true emancipation of women is still a distant dream ,masses are illiterate and deprived of the basic amenities of life. Judiciary is the only source of justice in a country where the people are fed up with inept politicians, over-ambitious generals and sleaze-spattered bureaucracy.</p>
<p>The red carpet welcome provided to the popular CJP wherever he visited eloquently expresses that people want fair dealings and justice. Judiciary provides the last ray of hope to the disappointed misery-guts to get just treatment. The striking public emotions that came to the surface before and after the outstanding and guidepost decision, bears out that the people want to get rid of widespread palm greasing, favoritism, nepotism, social injustice, economic exploitation, political subjugation and educational stratification. They yearn for overhaul of the contemporary system that can provide them basic facilities of life and ensure socio-economic evenhandedness.</p>
<p>The authorities were left with no other option but to publicly accept the fantastic judgment in order to make known that the men in the driving seat want justice to take its way. The political parties spin the outcome of March 9 incidents to their advantage and in the subsequent days they garner the fruits of its repercussions. They propagate that they want sovereignty of judiciary. But this cannot alter the bald and bitter fact that the actions of these political parties represented a frontal battering on the independence of the judiciary during their own tenures.</p>
<p>Some myopic big guns highlighted that there is clash of institutions. This would be disastrous for the whole nation. A country is like a viable body and its institutions are like its limbs. Each appendage supports the other and they work in coherence for national progress. If one institution or branch stabs the other, it would be suicidal and calamitous for the state. Each organ is bound to play its due role. As eyes cannot hear and ears cannot see, similarly, every institution or personality cannot play the role of other. If an electrical engineer despite having intellect cannot perform the task of a doctor, how can an army personnel carry out the duties of a vice chancellor or any other post for which he is not trained. Distinguished economist Shahid Javed Burki mentioned in his article printed in Dawn newspaper that presently army personnel head 600 key posts all over the country.</p>
<p>All the worthy civil judges, session judges, public prosecutors, attorneys etc., and admirable Justice Jawad S.Khaja of Lahore High Court, who resigned in protest after March 9 decision of making the praiseworthy CJP &amp;ldquo;non-functional&amp;rdquo; by filing baseless Presidential reference, should be immediately reinstated. These righteous people are the true assets of the country. Now the reference has been declared transgressive of the law of the land by the adorable full bench of the Supreme Court in its magnanimous decision. Therefore, morally and constitutionally these dignified and principled people should be returned their due perks and privileges.</p>
<p>The icons of highly honorable Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday and the other laudable and bolt-upright members of the full bench would always glimmer in the brightest chapters of the nation's history. They changed the history of the judiciary due to their gallant landmark decision. The other judges should follow the exemplary audacity of the jewels of the crown Chief Justice Iftikhar M. Ch, Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday and Justice Jawad S.khawaja. The lawyers should trail the sagacious and brilliant paradigms of the father of the nation and his true successors Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, Munir.A.Malik, Ali Ahmed Kurd, M.Ahsan Bhoon etc., who like their altruistic predecessor the Quaid-i-Azam, sacrificed their personal comforts and preoccupations over national imperatives. They did not earn a single penny from this reference case but won the hearts and minds of the millions due to their judicious and righteous stand. They prove through their valiant actions that now the time is ripe for the independence of judiciary, supremacy of the constitution and establishment of parliamentary democracy.</p>
<p>The pictures of executive and legislature are extremely bleak in Pakistan. Most of the men on a good wicket are the feudal lords, self-styled generals and bribery stained bureaucrats. The mass media is the fourth pillar of the state. It is the most important institution that forms the public opinion, which is mandatory for establishment of public rule in a state. Ironically, the men in the driving seat use backhanded tactics to fetter the print and electronic media. The media in Pakistan is shackled; the executive and legislature have failed to prove their worth to liberate the country from the trap of socio-economic evils. The recent judicial crisis and the magnanimous verdict of the Supreme Court, and the subsequent bold decisions by the judiciary proved that it is the only valuable institution that can help the country in resolving its thorny tribulations to safeguard national interests. Its courageous steps have also shown a flicker of expectation to the general public who have stapled great hopes with its integrity. <p>During World War I, British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour wrote the following letter to Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild of the Zionist Federation in England:</p>

<p>Dear Lord Rothschild,</p>
<p>I have much pleasure in conveying to you on behalf of His Majesty's Government the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations, which has been submitted to and approved by the Cabinet:</p>
<p>&amp;ldquo;His Majesty's Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish People and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine or the rights and political status enjoyed by the Jews in any other country.&amp;rdquo;</p>
<p>I should be grateful if you would bring this Declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.</p>

<p>This letter was the result of over three years worth of negotiations between Britian, France, Italy and USA. The Balfour declaration was issued with the support of these governments and a special session from the US Congress lead by President Woodrow Wilson. President Harding approved the declaration on September 21, 1922.</p>
<p>The Balfour Declaration led to the mandate that created the state of Israel, a Jewish Homeland, in the land of Palestine (or the ancient name of the land -Eretz Israel). This mandate was approved and given to Britain by the League of Nations and the Declaration sends a wave of joy and revival in the Jewish Community.</p>
<p>At the end of World War, in the Treaty of Sevres, the allies included the Balfour Declaration in the wording of the Treaty to ensure fair treatment of people within the territories of the former Ottoman Empire.
