Geoffrey Chaucer's Attitude Towards Religion

In Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer displays a multitude of pilgrims are on their way to Canterbury. Chaucer writes about all the characters and shows through his use of irony the personalities of the characters. Chaucer's establishes his distinct attitude that rather than the church being corrupt the people that operate the church are corrupt.
