Thanksgiving is for Everyone
by Lucas Dié, Nov 28, 2008
The American holiday of Thanksgiving is a unique festival. Going through history, many parallels may be found. But none of them may really claim to be the father of the thought.

Famous Holocaust Survivors
by eddiego65, Oct 15, 2008
Though some have denied that Holocaust ever happened, it is certainly real in the lives of those who experienced its horrors first hand. There are innumerable people, particularly the Jews, who have suffered terribly under the German Nazi regime and survived. Many were resilient enough to pick up the pieces and went on to achieve greatness in their chosen endeavors.

Heroes of the Holocaust and Their Stories of Courage
by eddiego65, Oct 2, 2008
The Holocaust is certainly one of the darkest times, if not the darkest, in the history of mankind. It is a time of overwhelming terror and enduring grief. It appears there was no trace of human kindness to lighten that darkness. It is said to be the ultimate expression of man's inhumanity toward man. Antisemitism is a virulent, specific hatred of Jews that was, until modern times, commonly found among Christians rather than Muslims, though it was known to Islam as well. In the Middle Ages, antisemitism was state policy in Spain, Turkey, Poland, Russia, the Holy Roman Empire, and the Berber states.

The Bat Mitzvah is a ceremony that celebrates a Jewish girl’s becoming an adult member of her community. Somewhat like Quinceañera and debutante balls, the Bat Mitzvah is a rite of passage for many Jewish girls, especially in North America.

The Holocaust: The Truth Will Out
by Anne Lyken Garner, May 1, 2008
‘Holocaust’ is a term derived from Greek, meaning to burn completely; and is used to describe the annihilation of about six million European Jews by the Nazis. They also hunted and killed five million Gypsies, physically and mentally disabled people (including Germans), homosexuals, and Jehovah’s Witnesses.
