The Nazca Lines

The Nazca are a culture who lived in South America. Unlike many "Indian" civilizations, the Nazca weren't nomads. They also never hunted, or gathered, as theirs was a totally agricultural society.

Venezuela's Most Beautiful Women

Venezuela is home to the world's most beautiful women. This tropical South American country produced 9 major beauty titlists, 5 for Miss World and 4 for Miss Universe since 1955. This list does not include the Miss International beauty title winners.

South America’s Biggest Volcanic Eruption

On February 19, 1600, South America’s biggest volcanic eruption in all of recorded human history occurred in a mountain close to Arequipa, a city in southern Peru. Its VEI was 6, the same as Krakatau’s, and the type of eruption was also the same as Krakatau’s, a Plinian one.
