Actually, most of America's defining political philosophies came about through editorials or opinionated but logical arguments. The Federalist papers were one such example. Here is an explanation of exactly what they argued and what they meant in terms of our government today. This description is in the format APPARTS which becomes familiar if you take advanced placement history classes.
