Busted IM Module Wanted to Hit Biz Hub in South Mumbai, Crowded Suburb

Mumbai: The city could have headed for a blood-soaked festival season had the police not busted the Indian Mujahideen module, home department officials said on Thursday. Despite Wednesday’s arrests, Mumbai was not out of danger, they added. Officials said a dozen-odd members of the module were still at large and could wreak mayhem if Mumbai dropped its guard.

Louisiana Hurricane (1893)

On the morning of October 2, 1893, Hurricane Chenier Caminanda, with winds peaking at a speed of 135 mph, struck the area southeast of present-day New Orleans. The hurricane then curved eastward across southeast Louisiana and turned northward over Alabama.

Earthquake in Charleston, South Carolina, (August 31, 1886)

Charleston, South Carolina, experienced the most powerful earthquake ever to strike the east coast of the United States. Because of the epicenter’s closeness to the city, damage was extensive in and around Charleston and the quake was felt in places all the way from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.

Aztlán is the legendary first city of the Aztecs, apparently located in what is now the American Southwest. No physical location has even been found, and much of the Aztec oral traditions have been lost. Like the Seven Cities of Gold, Aztlán has acquired a magical reputation.
