The word patriotism is defined by Merriam Webster's dictionary as love or devotion to one's country. It is a British word originating around 1726. Patriotism in America has come to mean much more.

The Benefits of Teaching in Rural Schools

Non-suburban schools are often overlooked by graduate teachers in favour of suburban or city schools. While the latter can teach graduates the merits of firm disciplinary plans and the importance of structured learning, country schools benefit new teachers in ways that are less measurable.
