Wildlife: More Important Than Britain's Biggest Wind Farm?

Scottish ministers have denied permission for a wind farm on the Isle of Lewis; it would have been the biggest onshore wind farm in the UK, all because it was going to be slightly detrimental to local wildlife. The wind farm would have consisted of up to 181 wind turbines, creating over 650 megawatts enough to supply a fifth of Scottish homes with clean energy.

In reaction to unethical industrial animal farming practices, many pamphlets, publications, websites, and even movies have been created in order to promote strict veganism. In contrast, very little exists to promote a conscientious omnivorous diet and sustainable farming. I will describe what I mean by conscientious omnivore and sustainable farming, and will explain why these should be promoted as the best options for mankind, the environment, and even for animals.
