Hezbollah: The (Inappropriately Named) Party of God in Lebanon
by Mzziqztixl, Oct 30, 2007
Hezbollah formed in southern Lebanon to counter the Israeli occupation following the invasion of 1982. The name comes from two words: "hizb" meaning "party" and "Allah" meaning "God". The translation changed "Allah" to "Ullah" meaning "of God" and you are left with "the Party of God."

Israel’s Love-Hate Relationship with the UN Peacekeepers
by texxmezz, Nov 15, 2006
Some in the Israeli cabinet are floating an idea of asking UN peacekeeping troops to come in and and be a barrier between Israel and the West Bank towns. Is this really such a good idea, and does the Israeli leadership have the stomach to surrender any level of power for peace?

“Israel has a right to defend itself”: exposing the logical fallacies
by texxmezz, Sep 10, 2006
I was browsing through a website today when I came across an article titled, “Israel has the right to defend itself”, and although most of the world has heard President Bush reiterate this statement during the Israeli–Lebanese war, it suddenly struck me how this line has become repeated gospel to every Christian Zionist, republican, and those still convinced and angry nineteen Arabs hijacked four flights on September 11, 2001. Out of the blue the alarm bells went off and the thought hit me squarely between the eyes: “this is propaganda….this is a fallacious argument!”
