Three wars in Spain fought during the period from 1833 to 1876. The Carlists were members of a conservative political movement in Spain with the goal of establishing an alternate branch of the Bourbon dynasty to the throne.

The Failure of the Maginot Line

After fighting the Germans in one of the most destructive wars in history for four years the French were determined to make themselves less vulnerable to future German attack. They did this by creating a "super trench" called the Maginot Line.
