Interrogation Verses an Interview and the Skills Involved

The act of interrogation is confrontational by nature. While interviewing attempts to solicit information through the use of congenial or persuasive means; interrogating is a process by which the suspect is carefully maneuvered into a position of no retreat. The goal of interrogation is to solicit or acquire information that is generally not in the legal best interest of the individual being interviewed.
